Anew Era Psychiatry uses therapies based on peer-reviewed scientific evidence
For optimal treatment results, access only clinically tested and peer-reviewed therapies when in need of treatment for a mental health condition.
Types of Therapy
Anew Era Psychiatry utilizes an integrated approach to mental health treatment
Every person is a unique individual with unique treatment needs. For treating a mental health condition or mood disorder, there is no one-size-fits-all treatment approach. Treatment must be tailored to the specific features of each patient’s condition, and there are many to consider. Anew Era Psychiatry understands the diverse needs of its patients and strives to create a customized treatment plan for each person using a variety of therapeutic interventions. These therapies might include:
Psychodynamic therapy
Psychodynamic therapy, also referred to as psychoanalysis, is an in-depth form of talk therapy that is usually long-term in nature. The focus is on learning how past childhood or traumatic events may have led to the presenting mental health condition.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
CBT focuses on the cognitive (thought) aspect and the resulting behavioral aspect of the patient’s maladaptive thought/behavior processes. CBT helps the patient identify these distorted thoughts and how they lead to self-destructive behaviors and then teaches them how to reshape the thought patterns towards achieving a positive outcome.
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
DBT has been used for treating a range of mental health conditions by focusing on managing painful emotions and conflicts within relationships. Includes emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Solutions-focused brief therapy (SFBT)
SFBT is a forward-looking approach, as opposed to therapies that spend vast amounts of time dissecting past life events. SFBT emphasizes setting new life-enhancing goals to achieve positive mental health results by identifying the skills and resources needed to achieve them.
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)
TMS Therapy is a brain stimulation technique using magnetic fields that induce electrical currents directed to the limbic region of the brain. By stimulating brain cells in this region, TMS can help reset and normalize brain chemistry, leading to improvements in mood, concentration, energy level, and sleep quality.
