Dr. Terry Eagan
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Terry Eagan brings to Anew Era TMS & Psychiatry an extensive body of professional experience in the field of psychiatry, encompassing both his clinical private practice and multiple Medical Director positions where he provides medical and psychiatric oversight of mental health treatment centers. Dr. Eagan’s diverse background includes the founding of various institutes that focus on providing specialized and innovative treatment for a variety of psychiatric disorders.
Dr. Eagan received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and completed an internship and residency at the Departments of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences at USC. Dr. Eagan provided clinical oversight over multiple clinical trials, served as a medical consultant to a variety of television shows, and is the author of multiple books in his field.
Dr. Eagan’s diverse professional experience in treating depression, anxiety disorders, dual diagnoses, eating disorders, and more makes his contributions as Chief Medical Director of AnewEra TMS highly efficacious in improving client’s overall quality of life.

Dr. Nadia Bening
MD
Dr. Nadia Bening is a Psychiatrist and Certified Brain Health Coach in addition to wife and mom of 3 boys. She has over a decade of experience in the traditional psychiatric clinical setting and was Medical Director at a substance abuse rehabilitation center for the past 3 years.
Following her Bachelor’s Degree at Texas A&M University, she received her Medical Degree at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and then her psychiatric residency training at UT Southwestern Programs in Austin, Texas.
She pays special attention to individual needs as shaped by each client’s personal history, his or her specific context, and stressful or traumatic life experiences or circumstances, all of which she approaches with patience, warmth, understanding, and helpful explanations that facilitate treatment and the client’s sense of comfort and trust.

Chase Bishop
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Chase Bishop, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing with honors at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He graduated top of his class with his Master of Science in Nursing – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Texas State University. Chase has over 6 years of experience working in the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Room. He grew up in South Texas and is a Veteran of the United States Navy with 8 years of service as a Corpsman in the Joint Special Operations Command. Chase enjoys spending time with his family and taking his son fishing on the weekends.
His priority in practice is to his patients and their individual care plans, he believes no two patients are the same. Chase has patience and compassion with an extensive focus on preventative care and health education. He utilizes attentive and empathetic practices to achieve better patient outcomes.
Ugochi (Ugo) Rufus
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Ugochi Rufus is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP- BC), certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Ms. Rufus received her Master’s degree in Nursing, from the University of South Alabama.
Ms. Rufus is passionate about helping individuals experiencing mental health challenges reach their ultimate level of wellness. She has several years of experience in the mental health profession and has worked with a broad range of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking a walk, and connecting with friends.
Amanda Anazia
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Amanda Anazia MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, as well as a certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the inaugural class of 2012. Amanda obtained her MSN from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, where she specialized in Family in 2020. She also obtained a Post-Master’s Certificate from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston where she specialized as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2021. She is a dedicated and patient-focused Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner with proven strength in psychiatric, holistic, and culturally sensitive patient care. She excels at delivering positive patient outcomes and providing excellent customer service while simultaneously building productive relationships.
She has over 8 years of experience working in intensive care and the emergency room. She is an Austin native and an avid true crime fanatic.
May (Meiling) Wang
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
May Wang is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. After she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin, she obtained her Master’s in nursing with honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. May has several years of mental health experience working with a variety of patients in different settings.
Her clinical background includes delivering psychiatric services to underserved communities in the state institution, children and adolescents with behavioral and neurobehavioral diagnoses, and adults with mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders. Besides providing bedside care, she had worked in the admission of an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Her professional communication and customer service skills offer additional strength to her role as a mental health provider.
Emphasizing a non-judgmental and patient-focused approach in her practice, she constantly prioritizes and meets the needs of her patients. Her goal is to promote excellent customer satisfaction while offering safe, individualized, and compassionate care.
Prasanna Sharma
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Prasanna Sharma is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping individuals overcome mental health challenges. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas at Arlington and went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in psychiatric mental health from the Cizik School of Nursing at UT Health Houston.
She has dedicated her career to helping individuals to achieve optimal health and well-being. She has experience working in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities, where she cared for patients with complex medical and mental health conditions.
She believes in a holistic approach to mental health care, which includes a thorough assessment of physical, emotional, and environmental factors that may be contributing to a client’s mental health symptoms. In addition to clinical expertise, Prasanna is committed to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with the latest advancements in mental health treatment.
Fauzia Akhtar
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Fauzia Akhtar is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Fauzia has over 10 years of extensive patient care experience at multiple medical institutions. She is passionate about providing top-quality, benevolent, and comprehensive mental health care to adults ages 18-64. Fauzia possesses strong clinical skills enhanced by the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
She follows evidence-based guidelines blended with clinical experience during patient interactions. After graduating from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2017, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2021.
Bryan Walker
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Bryan Walker is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and is board-certified in psychiatry and mental health (PMHNP-BC). As an advanced practice nurse, Bryan is committed to providing holistic, patient-centered, and evidenced-based care. He believes strongly in an integrated model of care and works in partnership with clients, other healthcare providers, and psychotherapists to achieve the best outcomes. Bryan keeps up with the latest research by attending conferences and improving psychotherapy skills with continued training. He completed his MSN at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. Bryan has also been a registered nurse since 1984 and has worked in a wide variety of health care settings (emergency, trauma, intensive care, home health, telephone triage, rehabilitation, hospice and palliative care, psychiatry). His diverse background augments his practice of psychiatry and mental health care. Prior to entering private practice, Bryan worked full time at Cedar Crest Hospital and Residential Treatment Center. As a PMHNP, Bryan can assess, diagnose, and treat patients with psychiatric disorders including the prescription of medications and administration of psychotherapy. PMHNP’s provide a full range of psychiatric and mental health services.
