Christina firmly believes that her patients deserve more for themselves and is proud of anyone seeking care. She hopes to be a provider that patients can trust during their therapeutic journeys. Christina is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and graduate of Northwestern University. She has over 12 years of experience in the field of service to others in clinics, schools, and in private settings. Together, she and her patients explore goals, treatment plans, and skills to allow clients to integrate more fully into life.
She is grounded in empirically based interventions, neuroscience, and psychoeducation, but Christina also believes in the power of connection and the magic of feeling understood. She believes there is phenomenal power that is created from sharing our stories and building a relationship that is based completely on healing. From exploring early life to present life there are patterns, themes, and core beliefs that have shaped our worlds. It will be important to mindfully evaluate these experiences and tease out the narratives. This allows individuals the ability to mindfully choose where to go in the future. There is an adage that “pain is inevitable but suffering optional.” This is not to invalidate suffering but to consider working towards where to go from a place of hurt. Christina believes that pain is inevitable, and peace is optional.
